Week 10-11 course announcements

A few notes for the coming weeks:

- There are no lectures or labs next week due to the holiday. The Lebow 132 lab will be open on Monday and Tuesday for those wanting to do some testing.


- The next time we meet will be in Week 11, the final week of the quarter.

--- Final reports are due at the start of your lab. See the final report template.

--- The final run-through of the section wide machine will occur in Week 11 lab. 30% of your course grade is based on the performance of the group/section machine performance.

--- Lab notebook sheets will be collected in Week 11 lab. Make sure that everything is up to date before submitting.

Final Report Template

The final report template is posted on the course website's resources page. Please review this ASAP. The report is due in at the start of Week 11 lab.


Upcoming deliverables

You are required to include a 3D CAD model of your machine in your final report. The weekly check off sheet lists the model as being due in Week 8 lab. The CAD model due date has been moved to Week 9 lab. I will discuss the CAD model more in Monday's lecture. In Week 8 lab, you will perform a preliminary run of your lab section wide machine.


DragonsTeach Expo this Friday in the Quad - food will be provided!

The DragonsTeach program allows you to obtain a minor in STEM education and a secondary teaching certification while completing your engineering degree. See the attached flyer for upcoming information events. The first is this Friday 12pm - 1:30pm in the Quad. Love demos and experiments will be conducted. Food will also be provided.


The first DragonsTeach course (ESTM 201: Step 1) will be offered in the Winter Term. See the attached flyer for information on all upcoming events.
